Pages-to-ePub
1. Starting with Apple's Pages
- Write your .pages book
- Export to 'PDF'
2. Open the Calibre.app
- If you don't have Calibre, get it here
- Import the 'pages'.pdf into Calibre
- Take a second to add metadata in Calibre
- Highlight imported PDF and Convert E-Books button

- In the conversion window add your book's cover art
- export as .epub
3. Open the Sigil.app
- Open your .epub file and be patient
- Edit as needed to finish
A resulting test .epub document retained almost all of its formatting. Tweaks applied in Sigil including:
- Centering graphics
- Adding an occasional return where two lines of different paragraph styles had run together.
Everyone interested in a true Export-to-EPUB feature from Apple's Pages should send feedback to Apple via the Pages Feedback Form.
Here's my feedback message:
Please add an Export-to-EPUB from Pages. An EPUB strict document type would also be a welcome feature to thousands of authors and ebook publishers.
